Today I took one of my contemporary side table designs up to Liberty of London for their August 2014 design open call.
After a very long five hour wait in the queue I finally got to see two of Liberty's buyers.
Both liked the design, the contrasting timbers and the high quality of the making and finishing of the piece. Now I just have to wait and see what happens next....
There's a lot going on in the workshop this week - the open design call at Liberty's of London is rapidly approaching and David is working to finish his unique design to take to London on the 30th of this month, and the bespoke wood stamp of the new company logo designed by David's partner has arrived!
Hand crafted from hardened steel by the Chalco Stamp and Die Company of Northamptonshire and featuring the logo designed for use on David's website, stationary and finished bespoke pieces, the stamp provides a professional finish to David's work, and the hardened steel gives the logo a lasting, sharp impression on the wood.
Much excitement is sure to follow when David uses the stamp for the first time on a finished piece!
Welcome to my blog!
